Wabbitfire Teddy Roosevelt Terriers

Teddy Roosevelt Terrier

Welcome to Wabbitfire Terriers

Wabbitfire Terriers strives to raise quality, working Teddy Roosevelt Terriers that make good family, farm, and companion dogs. Our dogs live in the home as part of our family. They are laid-back cuddle bugs, who also love a good game of tug-of-war or something wilder if they can get their little boys involved. They also take part in the daily activities on the farm and go out almost daily to the pastures or center pivot to hunt everything from mice and moles to weasels. On the other hand, they are great around animals like cats and poultry. We are passionate about sharing our love for these versatile dogs and introducing them as the ultimate "mans best friend" in both rural and urban settings.

About Teddy Rosevelt Terriers

Teddy Roosevelt Terriers are a small breed of dog bred for vermin control. Previously known as type B rat terriers, in 1999, the UKC recognized them as a separate breed.

Teddys are quick learners who love to be involved in anything their people are doing. They are energetic and fun-loving, but unlike many other similar breeds, they are described as having an "off switch" where they are equally as happy to do something more laid-back. They get along with dogs of all sizes, are good hunters, and, with proper early exposure, are good around other family pets.

A Little About Us

Our family raises sheep and grows hay near Cheyenne, Wyoming. Of course, we have lots of other things going on with chickens, ducks, horses, cats, and LOTS of dogs running around. Everything we own has dog hair on it, and for the most part, that is okay. With four boys in the house, things can get a little wild, and naturally, the dogs love being part of that. So if you rub your feet really quick on the rug when you get here and someone bites your pants cuff, sorry, that's a game they play.

Our animals are a huge part of our lives, and we look forward to sharing this joy in a small way through the puppies we sell.
